Biography[]
Barney Bushkin was the editor of the Daily Globe, the Daily Bugle's main competitor. Peter Parker once sold him exclusive photos of Spider-Man, but Bushkin's overbearing personality and his questions on how Parker managed to take the photos coninced him to stay with the Daily Bugle. Later Bushkin was kidnapped by Electro and the Blizzard who were trying blackmail both Bushkin and J. Jonah Jameson into handing over their paper's payrolls. Following an attempted hostile takeover of the Globe by Rupert Dockery, including the attempted murder of Clayton, publication the paper was suspended and Bushkin was temporarily out of a job. When it was revived he employed Eddie Brock as a jounalist
Season Four[]
First seen when Kenny comes to him with a video of Ra-Vem causing a fight in the streets of New York, Barney takes it and posts it online, exposing Kree presance on Earth. In Episode Thirty Six, he publishes an article that negatively slams Lang Industries for something Scott Lang did years ago. Barney later tells Kenny to go work for The Bugle, and it's discovered through Izzy, Barney has obtained illegal blood samples of The Vault Criminals. Barney then meets a possessed Maria, who he is working for, under mind control. She tells him to put pressure on the Bugle, and have the employees involved killed. In Episode Thirty Seven, Maria as Sheman shows her mind control over Barney and Kenny. In Episode Thirty Eight, Maria calls Barney and tells him Cole is in Tibet, and to have him killed there, Barney sends Eddie. In Episode Thirty Nine, Maria tells Barney to recover the device. Barney then attacks Cole and Shilo but they get away with the device. In Episode Forty, Barney comes up and uses an unknown ammount of strength to snap Micah's neck from behind, and walk away with the device. Now that he has the device he calls Maria and tells her he calls the shots now and hangs up. In Episode Forty Two, Maria and Lon find Barney, together they shoot and kill him, allowing Maria to get the device.
Powers and Abilities[]
as a human he had no special powers, but was some what resilant to magic and mind control, and had a ton of business and criminal connections. At some point he had super strength to kills Micah, it is never explained why or how this happend, but it is possibly done by the device or by Maria.
